Music of the Pearl
I believe the quote at the end of the story showed that the evil that the pearl brought to Kino’s family along with the opportunity that his family had to change their lifestyle and their future just disappeared as the pearl sank and the pearl’s song came to an end. Also now that the pearl, the wealth, that Kino had just disappeared, Kino and Juana went back to rebuild their life.

Tyler Hong did refer back to the repeated motif of music. Reading his post I feel that he does understand the symbolism of the pearl. In Tyler's first sentence he makes the connection of the symbolism of the pearl and its effect on society. "Also now that the pearl, the wealth, that Kinda had just disappeared, Kino and Juana went back to rebuild their life." is a great quality sentence because it shows Tyler's understanding, it had numerous points, refers to the story, and then adds the ending and following of the story. In your response I think you have Met Standard. Though it is good writing and understanding, you could of gone into depth a little more. Nice job Tyler!!
